VA Visit with Family - FINALLY

Here are some pictures of my visit with Lisa/Mike and family, Mother and Uncle Bill. I only wished I had gotten more pictures of everyone there. The cousins played so well together, nary a fight, just pretend and climbing fences and trees (the adults played well, too). I am so glad they are moving back so we all can play together more often. I got to go see Hannah Montana: The Movie with my nieces, Delaney, Berkeley, and Zoe while I was there (jeez, I wish I had pics!). We had such a great time hanging out, and Zoe and I relived our moments every chance we got. I love how my nieces are growing up so beautifully and becoming great examples to my girls.
Uncle Bill was awesome with the kids. He treated them to ice cream treats, walks, duck voices, reading, coloring, and just listening. I am so glad that Rhett and Ella got an opportunity to get to know "my" side of the family, with distance being such a factor.
ps - How is Uncle Bill so tan and it is just May? Tanning bed, Uncle Bill? Perhaps it could just be the AZ sun.

Easter Blessings

A beautiful (and sunny) Easter Day. We are so very grateful for the Atonement. We are so grateful for being an Eternal Family.

Easter Picture Perfect

Just as long as they look good leaving the house I know I have done my job. Getting them all to sit still while I take pictures is something else. Formal pictures really stress me out. These are the pictures to choose from . . .

Bunny Cake and Colored Eggs

We decorated eggs at around 10:30 that night. We are degg-icated.
It is our tradition to make a bunny cake every year. I go around the store looking for random "bunny face" items. This is the result. We really love decorating it.

Bunny Cake Treat

While we were making the bunny cake for Easter, I gave Lucy the spatula to lick. I thought being well contained in a chair she wouldn't make too much of a mess . . .

Boy, did she love it!
I love the faces these girls are making!

Picture Day with Daddy

One Year Older and Wiser, too

March 24 - my hubby is 32 years old. We had a wonderful time celebrating his birthday and since we had had a lot of birthday cake, I decided to do a 2nd best and go with Birthday Brownies. We all had fun making them for him. We were waiting by the brownies and sang Happy Birthday to Joe as he walked in the door from work. He LOVED it!
After singing and presents we jumped in the car and headed to the park, picking up some KFC along the way. We had a great day of chicken, family, outdoors and brownies. I think if Joe would, he would sing, "these are a few of my favorite things."

Shrek Ears

Lucy has just enough hair to put up so I am hoping that at an early age of hair dos, she doesn't become a "hair don't" like my other precious girl with beautiful blonde hair that I can't touch. She also didn't really get hair until she was two.
You can't really see that well, but we call these her "Shrek ears." I think you can tell why.

The Hair Don't

Ella looks so CUTE with her hair done up! Yet I can't touch it unless I am just brushing it or it is "mandatory bow Sunday." The whole reason I wanted a girl was to dress her up and play with her hair. Why are they given a mind of their own at such a young age?

Teeth? Are They Necessary?

The time had come for Rhett to lose a 2nd tooth. He HATES losing teeth and worries about it constantly but yet won't leave it alone either. As a result of messing with it, this is what happened . . .

But later that night he was a new man with no worries after pulling it out in the tub. What a relief!
