Staying Home is for Babies

Aug 12th was a big day for Rhett at "My School" Preschool, and little did I know would be an even bigger day for Ella. Upon getting Rhett to gather his items for his 1st day of preschool, Ella, too, decided to grab her (empty) lunchbox getting "ready" for school. After dropping Rhett off in his class and waving goodbye, I called for Ella to come, but much to my surprise, threw a fit demanding to stay. I then told her that she would not be in big brother's class but in a different class on a different floor. Still demanding to go, I then took her to the classroom thinking that she didn't understand. However, again to my surprise, not only did she understand but didn't even give me a second glance as she entered the room. When I returned with her lunch, Ms. Pam tells me that she seems to be the most understanding child in the classroom, singing all the songs, knowing her colors, and participating in the activities. She wondered why I hadn't had her signed up from the start.

Once I dropped her lunch off and trying to remain incognito, I looked at Ella to see how she was doing who then saw me and gave me a big wave and said "Hi, Mommie!" then retuned to coloring. And that was that and has loved it since.
